Withdraw or Repost - Administration

You can withdraw a proposal from a letting. You must enter the reason for withdrawing the proposal. Once the proposal is withdrawn, the Bid Express® service displays a message saying This Proposal has been Withdrawn. A proposal can be withdrawn even if the deadline has passed.

Follow these instructions to withdraw a proposal:

  1. Select Manage Lettings, Proposals and Bids from the Letting and Vendor Data section of the Manage Agency page.

  2. Select the letting to which the proposal belongs.

  3. Select the proposal you'd like to withdraw.

  4. Select Withdraw in the upper right corner.  The Bid Express service goes to the Withdraw Proposal page.

  5. Enter a reason for the withdrawal and click withdraw.  Click cancel to return to the Manage Proposal page without withdrawing the proposal.

  6. Click ok in the confirmation window to withdraw the proposal. The Bid Express service withdraws the proposal and returns you the Manage Proposal page and adds a message stating the proposal has been withdrawn.

When a proposal is withdrawn, the withdraw activity displays under the What's New information on the agency's Bid Express home page. In addition, the Bid Express service sends an email notification to contractors who either submitted a bid for this proposal or have their email notifications set to receive updates of withdrawals.

Repost

If a withdrawn proposal needs to be resubmitted, you can repost it.

  1. Select Manage Lettings, Proposals and Bids from the Letting and Vendor Data section of the Manage Agency page.

  2. Select the letting to which the proposal belongs.

  3. Select the proposal you'd like to resubmit.

  4. Select Repost in the upper right corner.  The Bid Express service goes to the Repost Proposal page.

  5. Click repost or click cancel to return to the Manage Proposal page without reposting the proposal.

  6. Click ok in the confirmation window to repost the proposal. The Bid Express service reposts the proposal and returns you the Manage Proposal page and deletes the message stating the proposal has been withdrawn.

When a proposal is reposted, the activity displays under the What's New information on the agency's Bid Express home page.  In addition, the Bid Express service sends an email notification to contractors who have their email notifications set to receive updates of reposted proposals.
