Can we get some clarification on the temp shoring? I am guessing it has to do holding the material under the approach.

The temporary shoring is included to prevent the earth under the traffic lane from sloughing in during staged construction. This is noted in the General Notes on Sheet Number 2, along with additional notes and requirements for the temporary shoring.
