Manage Messages and Notifications

You can sign up to receive messages sent from one or more agencies or sent by the Bid Express® service when the agency performs a specific action, such as adding a new letting or withdrawing a proposal. Your Messages icon in the top right of the Bid Express web page will display a star icon when you receive messages that match your selected notification preferences, and you can also sign up to receive email notifications. You must be signed up for agency messages in order to receive other notifications. Agency administrators can see who subscribed to receive messages for their agency.

Messages are sent to your inbox. From there, you can move them to different mailboxes.

Subscribe

To subscribe to notifications:

  1. Click the Messages icon in the upper right corner. The Bid Express service takes you to the My Message Center inbox.

  2. Click Manage Messages and Notifications. The Bid Express service takes you to the Manage Messages and Notifications page.

  3. Select the agency from which you'd like to receive notifications from the drop down list. The Bid Express service displays a list of notification types.

  4. Select the check box for each notification you wish to receive or select All to select every notification type. If you select Email, the Message check box is also selected. The email notification will inform you of a new message, but you must read the message in the Bid Express message center.

  5. When all notification types have been selected, click save. The Bid Express service brings you to the View Messages and Notifications page and lists the agencies and notifications types to which you have subscribed.

  6. Click My Message Center in the navigation trail to return to the inbox.

To sign up for all message types, click All under the Message column heading.  To sign up for all emails, click All under the Email heading.

Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe to any notification type for which you have signed up.

  1. Click the Messages icon in the upper right corner. The Bid Express service takes you to the My Message Center inbox.

  2. Click Manage Messages and Notifications. The Bid Express service takes you to the Manage Messages and Notifications page.

  3. From the drop down list, select the agency from which you'd like to unsubscribe your notifications.

  4. Clear the check box for the notifications you no longer wish to receive. Remember you must be signed up for agency messages if you are also subscribed to other messages.

  5. To remove all your notifications, select the Unsubscribe from all Messages and Notifications check box at the bottom of the list.

  6. When you are finished, click save.  The Bid Express service takes you to the View Messages and Notifications page and displays your updated subscription list.

  7. Click My Message Center in the navigation trail to return to the inbox.
