Manage Agency Alerts - Administration

If you wish to add an alert to your agency's Bid Express® home page, use the Manage Alert function. Once saved, the alert appears at the top of your home page. Previously published alerts are not saved. If you wish for a previous alert to remain on the home page, you must keep it in the Alerts text box.

If you do not want any alert on the page, erase the entire contents of the Alert text box.

Adding an Alert

Follow these instructions to add an alert:

  1. Select Manage Agency Alerts from the Agency section of the Manage Agency page. The Bid Express service goes to the Alert page and displays the Alerts text box.

  2. The Bid Express service automatically adds the date and time to the text box. You can edit or delete the time stamp if desired. Note that the alert appears on your page immediately after you publish it, even if you set the timestamps to a later time.

  3. Enter your message in the text box. You can use the format buttons at the top of the text window to format your text, including the size of the text and the color. Rest your mouse on a button to see what the button does.

  4. Click preview when you are finished to see your message. Click the X in the upper right corner of the preview window to close the preview.

  5. If you are satisfied, click publish. If not, continue to update your message.

Adding Your Agency Logo

You can also add your agency logo to the message.

If you are using the HTML code to create the message, just add the logo like any other image.

Follow these instructions if you are using visual edits:

  1. Click the Insert Image button in the icon tool bar.  The Bid Express service opens the Picture window.

  2. Click browse and navigate to the location of your picture on your computer.

  3. Select the picture and click open.

  4. Make any other changes to the layout or spacing if you desire.

  5. Click ok.

Publishing the Alert

Once you click publish, your message appears on the tab for your agency.

If you do not wish to publish your alert, click cancel.  The Bid Express service reverts the alert back to how it appeared before you selected Manage Agency Alerts.
